Bartholdy: Won by 12 From a Stable Who Does Well with 1st and 2nd timers

Three year old gelding for Steve Knapp, who he claimed for $50K two starts back, is a different horse these days. Off at 4/1 when in the gate, yet 2/1 on the far turn (Computer Assisted Wagering $$$), he went right to the lead under Baze in this maiden allowance field, 3 and up, at six and a half on the main. With fractions of 22.28 and 45.01 for the half, he had three on the field at the 3/8 pole, five turning for home at the head of the lane, and won by 12 in the fast time of 1:15.47 for the six and a half. He added the blinkers today but both of his starts have been sparkling since coming into the Knapp stable, who consistently does well with his runners 1st or 2nd start off the claim. Up the ladder for this expensive son of the good sire Mendelssohn.
