Rehearsal (IRE): Finished 4th By a Length At the Wire But Galloped Out Strong

Three year old Irish filly for Phil D’Amato made her 1st start in this country and the 4th of her career in the finale on Saturday. Off at 5/1 in a full field of 12 runners in a maiden special weight at a mile on the turf, she was pretty much void of any early speed and was mid pack into the clubhouse turn. She was 7th down the back side, on the fence, and about 7 back of the leaders. She started moving up at the ¼ pole, left the rail under Maldonado, and then was forced six wide at the top of the lane. She came rolling home in fine fashion on the outside but it was too late. She finished 4th but was only beaten one length for all of it at the wire and galloped out strong. D’Amato is good with these Irish breds and she’ll get her diploma in the very near future.
