Recycleyourheart: By Far The Best With All Her Trouble Beaten By A length

Two year old filly for Andy Mathis made just her 2nd career start and first in Southern California in Friday’s opener, a 5/8 sprint on the main for Cal bred juvenile fillies. Bet down heavy late as the 6/5 choice in a field of 9, she hopped at the start leaving the gate to be away last under Maldonado. She regrouped down the back side, then took up sharply at the half mile pole when up on another horse’s heels, lost her momentum, and was shuffled back to last again. She still found another gear, got to the outside for racing room at the top of the lane, and finished strong to get third and was only beaten a length for all of it at the wire. With all the trouble she had, she was by far the best today. She will get another shot with this kind in three weeks and should get her diploma then.

Generally horses that are on the Horses To Watch list ran into unexpected trouble, bad luck, and/or didn’t run the race we believe Recycleyourheart was cabable of.  We expected that if Recycleyourheart gets a good trip in their next start than we should see an improvement in Recycleyourheart performance figures.  Use the performance figures earned in Recycleyourheart last race (listed above) and compare them to the field and pars of Recycleyourheart next start.  If Recycleyourheart appears to have earned higher performance figures in the last race when running into trouble  as compared to the rest of the field’s expected perfomance in the upcoming race than there is a good chance that Recycleyourheart will dominate the race.
