2023 Sire Stats

Handicapping thoroughbred races for profit can be difficult. However, that hasn’t stopped players from trying to accomplish it for nearly a century. Sure, there have been countless books, angles and systems on this subject but nobody has THE answer. One thing Turfdom knows is how to wager successfully and show profit over a period of time. The key is having accurate information to better your chances. That is what our Sire Stats offer. We present a table of current 1st, 2nd and 3rd crop sires for horses that are racing today. They are listed under four headings and are ranked from A – F based on overall ability, turf, off-track (mud, sloppy, wet-fast), and win early breeding (1st or 2nd start). Additionally, top sires for each category are listed at the end.

Our previous Sire Stats was published in 2020 and was rated an excellent “9” by Phillips Racing Newsletter, racing’s consumer digest. This updated manual provides straightforward information and is a good tool for players of all levels, from seasoned pros who would find it interesting, to novices looking to learn the concepts for winning play. Bottom line is, don’t we all want an edge over our opponent? That would be a resounding Yes!
