Seismic Spirit (IRE): Finished 6 But Only Beaten Three At Wire

Four year old gelding for Peter Miller dropped in for a $32,000 claiming price on Saturday at 5/8 on the turf, 3 and up. Off at 9/2 in a field of six, he was making a winning move at the top of the lane when his stable mate lugged in due to left handed whipping, cut him off completely, and he took up severely, lost his momentum and was finished. He finished sixth and was only beaten three at the wire. They DQ’d his stable mate and Spirit got moved up to fifth, but that was little consolation for a horse that looked like he could win at the 1/8 pole. He has enough tactical speed to win at this distance and look for Miller to find a spot for him before the end of the meet.
