Two year old filly for Peter Eurton made her debut on Sunday in a maiden special weight event at five and a half on the main. Off at 8/1 in a field of 10, she “dwelt” a bit at the start to be away poorly and was quickly 8 lengths back of the field. She started to move up at the 3/8 pole under Berrios, rallied up to third at the top of the lane, then just kind of ran out of breath inside the eighth pole, yet still held on for third at the wire. She was beaten about three and a half at the wire and the poor start cost her dearly. She had trained very well coming into the race and Eurton has a good record with second time starters, so look for vast improvement out of this one up at Arcadia.

Generally horses that are on the Horses To Watch list ran into unexpected trouble, bad luck, and/or didn’t run the race we believe Aunt Mo was cabable of. We expected that if Aunt Mo gets a good trip in their next start than we should see an improvement in Aunt Mo performance figures. Use the performance figures earned in Aunt Mo last race (listed above) and compare them to the field and pars of Aunt Mo next start. If Aunt Mo appears to have earned higher performance figures in the last race when running into trouble as compared to the rest of the field’s expected perfomance in the upcoming race than there is a good chance that Aunt Mo will dominate the race.
